KIDZ TAKE KONTROL
Love, as though you've never been hurt,
Sing, as though no one can hear you,
Work, as though you don't need the money,
Live, as though heaven is on Earth.

Kidz Take Kontrol Concept devised by Zoe-Anne Aston - Artistic Director of GroOops - Kidz Take Kontrol, and Director Choreographer of Interlude Dance Troupe UK
”A brilliant, caring, dance-dedicated, energy filled, gigantic, happy, kind, loving, magnificent, no-nonsense, open-to-all, professional, quite remarkable, show-biz, triumphant, unique, VERY EXCELLENT, YELL-OUT-LOUD, SUCCESS. Here we have an evening of whoops and cheers, twists, turns, leaps and jumps, dives and tumbles, cartwheels and hip-hop thrusts. Aged from 6 to mid twenties this youth show excelled. Never work with children or animals is the saying but these "KIDZ" would be a joy to work with. I never knew hip-hop could so diverse, varied and at times utterly emotional. A HUGE screen showed images and text from the "KIDZ" themselves and it is clear that this charity, GroOops, is held dear in everyone's heart. . . .
Everything was great but LOST IN TRANSLATION, SPIRIT, UNITY, UNDER 18's - AGAINST KNIFE CRIME, BIRDGANG and FRESHNESS all left their mark. This show would look very much at home at Sadler’s Wells. Clean, clear dancing and so many smiles both on stage and off. Star of the show was Malachi a six year gutsy, full of confidence, dancer who stopped the show. In youth speak this show was “sick” - superbly so (as in very, very good). It made me proud seeing everyone fully engaged. Director Zoë-Ann Aston should be well pleased - we were. WHASSUP? This show must go on and be seen again.”

The show was a complete sellout and was an amazing expression of Youth Culture and the Arts. Young People were involved in all aspects of the production which is suitable for a multi-generational audience.
